Team Apollo Powershot
As robust as the screen capture feature in OS X are , there ’s always room for betterment . Team Apollo’sPowershot 1.5fills this function nicely , offer a lightweight , effective service program that allows you to configure keystrokes for taking screenshots , target the surface area of the screen that will be used in the screenshot , let you specify what will be done with the image data file , and admit flying line drawings , flesh and annotation to be added to the finished product .
Memorize the platform ’s Control - Option - X keystroke — or configure your own — and you ’re off to the races . From here , Powershot has you specify the area you ’re using for your screenshot , then carry on to offer a set of tools to tie rectangle , circles , lines , arrow , add text , choose colour for the elements you ’re adding , delete steps you ’ve taken , export the images to specific folder , and approve or deny the changes you ’ve made .
Additional touches like enlargement and the ability to save the screenshot to OS X ’s transcript stash add up in ready to hand and it ’s nice to have a choice as to what you ’re going to do with the figure as opposed to redeem screenshots cluttering up the background .
If there are any points of contention with Powershot , they ’re relatively small and fixable . A limited colouring pallet put up access to only six color and does n’t tender access to OS X ’s color wheel . Team Apollo ’s reenforcement for its product seems a bit lackluster , as thecompany ’s webitementions its other products , but not Powershot .
Powershot adds some great feature to OS X ’s received screenshot capabilities and is a steal at $ 1 in the Mac App Store .
