It ’s been cold , overcast , and rain down here for the last duo of day , with a sideways wind that so brute it ’s nearly blown me into the street a twain of times .

The Icelanders I ’ve spoken with take it in stride — it ’s not strange for it to be like this in early November , and , in fact , many of the peaks in this area show coke when we first arrived . It ’s made those of us who are n’t acclimated to it scrunch down , however . And of course , it ’s going to get a mint worse before it pose better . Good thing I ’m only here until Sunday .

On Thursday night , CCP led a turn to Iceland ’s famed Blue Lagoon , a geothermal watering hole that ’s fed by fresh brine that exchanges in less than an hour . Seeing Iceland without visiting the Blue Lagoon is like see Paris without visiting the Eiffel Tower , I am narrate . But I would n’t know , because I did n’t go . And from what I ’ve been told by those who did , I made the right choice .

That did n’t stop an hardy crowd from CCP and the Fanfest from come on the Blue Lagoon at about 7 p.m. , or about three hours after the Dominicus start to set . And while those that managed to stay fully submerge in the lava - heated water managed to detain warm , I am tell that even coming up for tune was unspeakable .
