Apple released the Intel - based Mac Pro a little more than two weeks ago , and since then , Macworldhas covered the desktop from every angle , include FAQs , television tours , and initial benchmark . And even though , we ’ve posted our review of the 2.66GHz Mac Pro Quad , our tests go on — Macworld research lab has finished initial examination a 3GHz system and Lab Director James Galbraith stops by the podcast to discuss the upshot .
After looking at the present hardware offerings from Apple , we take a spin back to the past . I discovered an audio cassette tour of the Macintosh from 1986 a few weeks back , and I ’ve included a few excerpts from that audio file for your hearing delectation .

Our 50th podcast is a landmark for another reason — it marks my final appearance as the host of the podcast , as I leaveMacworldto follow up on other opportunities .
