Reader Glen Green had some difficulty with a solution I latterly offered . He compose :
The first affair to try is resetting your net . To do that you ’d watch the steps I draft in that clause . First , powerfulness down your broadband modem as well as the Time Capsule . Then plug away in the modem until all the right lights seem . And at long last plug in the Time Capsule . When it fully boots it should get the right information from the modem .
If not you could try readjust the modem — they generally have a Reset button on the back or bottom . The modem , once re-start , will await back to your ISP to pick up the right stage setting and then relay them to your Time Capsule . ( Check with your ISP before doing this , however , as some have more complicated procedures for reset their modems . )
Or — and this is really the full point of this clause — go back to the variant you were using before . If I interpret your situation correctly , the firmware you antecedently had on your Time Capsule worked perfectly well . It might again , and thus remove the problem .
Unlike with iOS equipment where you ’re stuck when you kick upstairs the gimmick ’s software , you could roll back the firmware on AirPort devices . And there are two ways to go about it .
On your Mac , plunge AirPort Utility . In the window that come along select your Time Capsule . halt down the Option winder and tap the interpretation number unveiling . When you do a menu appear that lists old firmware versions . Choose the one that worked for you ( in your suit , 7.5.2 ) . You ’ll be ask to substantiate that you want to do this by clicking a Continue button . Do that and your Time Capsule ’s firmware will be downgraded ( and , I hope , solve your job ) .
you may also roll out back firmware on AirPort devices from within theiOS versionof AirPort Utility . Just download AirPort Utility to your gimmick , launch it , tap your Time Capsule , tapVersion , and then tapOlder Versions(see image at the top of the page ) . Tap on the one you wish to expend and — just like with AirPort Utility on your Mac — your Time Capsule ’s firmware goes back in time .
