Apple today unveiled a new iMac parentage - up at the San Jose California Theatre , right next doorway to Cupertino . Tim Cook , Apple ’s CEO , took to the level to announce the new desktop computers , which have n’t been updated since May 2011 .
That ’s some time ago , so understandably , Mac users have been getting raring to get their hand on a new example with novel processor and update spectacles . UK pricing has yet to be announce , and Apple ’s storage is still displaying the ‘ We ’ll be back ’ welcome message . The iMac could go on sales agreement as soon as the case end .
The new iMacs run Apple ’s Mountain Lion operating system .
The new iMac is just 5 mm tenuous at its bound with up to 40 per cent less volume that its herald .
The raw iMac is usable in two sizes , with a 21.5 in display or a 27 in display , 1920×1080 or 2560×1440 severally .
Apple say that the display has 75 pert penny less reflection than old models . Apple has also made the LCD 5 mm thin , and has used a process called ‘ full lamination ’ to move out the 2 mm gap between the LCD and the glass , meaning that viewers are now “ closer to the activeness ” .
The novel iMac business - up has a 720p FaceTime HD tv camera , three-fold microphones and an improved stereoscopic photograph arrangement .
customer can get a Core i5 or Core i7 C.P.U. , with NVIDIA Kepler graphics , up to 768 GB of flash or 3 TB GD , and up to 32 GB of RAM .
Alternatively , users can choose an Apple Fusion drive for their new iMac . It has 128 GB of flash storage , with 1 TB or 3 TB HD , fused into a single coherent volume .
The new iMac comes with a wireless keyboard and a wireless magic mouse or wireless magic trackpad . The iMacs will start shipping in November .
