Around the Macworld offices , we do n’t need a calendar to tell us when we ’re getting close to the end of the year . All we have to do is take a look around at all the Eddy Award statue waiting to be doled out to the makers of the good Mac hardware and software of the retiring 12 month .

First up , we talk to a relatively new Mac developer , Whitney Young , author ofSenuti . Senuti , for the naive , is a commodious ( andfree ) way to get your digital music file off of your iPod and to your Mac . Keep up the good work , Whitney .

Young is a 20 - twelvemonth - erstwhile sophomore major in computer scientific discipline atNorthwestern University . He ’s had a nice little run pass away lately , having won one of Playlist’s2005 Plays of the Yearjust last week .

I also spoke with Dave Nanian ofShirt Pocket Software , developer of the gravid backup public utility company , SuperDuper . And this podcast wraps up with an interview with Rich Siegel ofBare Bones Software , which is receiving its third straight Eddy Award .
